Robin Hood

ABOUT THE SHOW

Summary:

In this lively adaptation, Robin Hood is an outlaw living in Sherwood Forest, where he and his band of Merry Men provide refuge and aid to the oppressed. The story unfolds during King Richard the Lionheart’s absence on a crusade, leaving his brother, Prince John, to rule England. Prince John, aided by the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham and the scheming Lady Merle of Cornwall, seeks to solidify his power by forcing Maid Marian, Robin’s childhood sweetheart, into marriage. Robin Hood and his band must thwart these plans, rescue Marian, and ensure that justice prevails in Nottingham until King Richard’s return.

Non-musical version, but heavy use of stage combat and choreography. This is a touring production. Performers will need to adapt and be able to perform in 3 different spaces with large audiences. This is a very physically demanding play and will be best for performers with intermediate to advanced performing skills.

***If your performer is new to TVCT or is interested in learning stage combat before auditioning, we recommend our Robin Hood Stage Combat camp the week of July 14th. Robin Hood Stage Combat Registration
